A Multicultural Wedding in Kingston | Adrienne & John’s Chinese-Scottish Celebration

There’s something incredibly special about the personal touches couples bring to their wedding day—those meaningful details that make the celebration feel truly their own. Adrienne and John’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of their Chinese and Scottish heritage, filled with heartfelt moments, cultural traditions, and a whole lot of love.

The day began with a stunning ceremony at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kingston, one of the city’s most iconic and historic wedding venues. With its breathtaking architecture and timeless beauty, it was the perfect setting for Adrienne and John to say "I do" surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Following the church ceremony, Adrienne and John hosted a traditional Chinese tea ceremony—a beautiful way to honor their families and pay tribute to Chinese wedding traditions. The couple changed into traditional attire, embracing elements of both Chinese and Scottish culture.

A memorable moment of the evening was a touching bagpipe performance by John and his father.

Guests were treated to thoughtfully curated wedding favours, including loose-leaf tea, homemade shortbread cookies, and Canadian maple candies—each one representing a piece of Adrienne and John’s cultural story.

I’m always inspired by couples who infuse their day with culture, personality, and emotion. Adrienne and John’s wedding was a perfect example of how beautiful it is when two worlds come together to create something uniquely their own.
